Does the dstvmobile service work in my area?
Posted on March 3, 2011Be careful, although it is advertised as though there is coverage everywhere this is not the case. It also doesn’t use the cell phone network so having cell signal doesn’t mean anything.
Initial launch coverage was in Jhb, Pretoria, Bloem, Durban, PE and Capetown. There have been upgrades since.
Even in these covered areas, coverage is NOT universal. The coverage map on the dstv website works quite well, so go and plug in your likely addresses of useage and see if you are covered.
