The documentation says that when you plug in your iDrifta the iDevice will automatically detect it and start the DSTV Mobile application. I have found this is not always true. If you plug in the iDrifta and the app doesn’t start then try and start it up manually, this may solve the problem.

Note that the iDrifta must have some battery life to allow it to be detected by an iOS device; if the battery is completely flat; the iDrifta will not detected by the iOS device. Plug in your cell phone charger (most use micro USB these days) for a quick boost and then you will be good to go.
